Poiema Visual Arts - Pastors' Breakfast
Come join Poiema Visual Arts for our first Pastor's Breakfast event on Tuesday, May 7 at 8:30 AM! As shepherds of Christ's flock, you realize that your congregation is made up of many complex layers of personality and unique gifting. However, when that gifting varies from our own, it is sometimes difficult to forge a path forward. We want to help! Poiema Visual Arts is a non-profit ministry that walks alongside Christian visual artists and churches seeking faithfulness in the areas of education, discipleship, and community. Come connect with other pastors, learn more about Poiema Visual Arts, and find support for your church & the creatives you are called to lead!
Art Day Camp
We invite children in Grades 3-6 to join us for a week-long Art Day Camp on July 8-12, 2024! Our theme this summer is “Love Deeper Than an Ocean.” Throughout the week, we will emphasize the wonder of God’s love and explore part of the world He created through various art projects, Bible stories, and group activities.
The program will take place between 9 AM - 4 PM; with a final “Art Showcase for Parents” held on Friday, July 12th at 6:30 PM. The cost per participant is $55 for the week with a cap of 15 students.

Poiema Visual Arts' Benefit Auction
You won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to support the work of Poiema Visual Arts on Saturday, March 23, 2024! This year's event will include a SILENT AUCTION containing a wide array of gift baskets and unique treasures, a CATERED MEAL, & a LIVE AUCTION featuring art, handmade goods and specialty items. The stories of Poiema Visual Arts will be shared throughout the evening’s festivities. While tickets are free, this fundraising event is limited to adults only. All proceeds generated throughout the evening will support the daily operating budget of Poiema Visual Arts and underwrite our 2025 Biennial Art Conference, "Pieces: Beauty in Brokenness."
March Kids Create Event - Community Edition
Poiema Visual Arts' Kids Create Events take place once a month during the school year and offer elementary students (Grades 3-5) an opportunity to come & create art within an environment of faith and compassion. All classes are held at Poiema Visual Arts' Studio at East Petersburg Mennonite Church. -- Our March Kids Create program will offer children the opportunity to make a fun Easter egg project!

Poiema Visual Arts' Kids Create Events take place once a month during the school year and offer elementary students (Grades 2-5) an opportunity to come & create art within an environment of faith and compassion. Our Homeschool Editions involve the same projects as our Community Editions but are scheduled during daytime hours rather than at the end of the school day. -- Our March Kids Create program will offer children the opportunity to make a fun Easter egg project!

Cultivating Artists: A Day of Artist Care
For any visual artist who wants to spend a day reviving their creativity for 2024. The day will include elements of artist care and collaboration like art therapy, artwork reconstruction followed by peer response, goal planning, an artist panel on gallery life, and more.
Cultivating Artists of Faith
This day of care and collaboration will encourage the artist in their art making while also delving into the connection between art & faith. -"Artist of Faith” refers to those who follow Jesus with their life while engaging in art.
February Kids Create Event - Community Edition:
Poiema Visual Arts' Kids Create Events take place once a month during the school year. They offer elementary students (Grades 3-5) an opportunity to come & create art within an environment of faith and compassion.
Our February Kids Create will offer children the opportunity to make a special love-filled valentine for a family member or close friend.
